Karri makes a transition to Yonoton from Arnolds, where he has worked as a Director of IT & Digital. Contributing deep expertise from multi-location restaurant franchise operations to strengthen our organization.
We at Yonoton family are thrilled to welcome Karri to our team as our new Product Owner. To help you get to know him better, we asked him a few questions.
1. What attracted you to Yonoton, and why did you choose to join the team?
I actually became familiar with Yonoton from the customer side while leading a POS renewal project at my previous job. During that process I had the chance to look under the hood of several platforms and Yonoton clearly stood out with its modern architecture, strong omni-commerce vision, and refreshingly open way of working.
My connection with Yonoton does go back even further. I collaborated with the company in my sports oriented leadership role already a decade ago, when Yonoton was still focused on B2C solutions for sports audiences.
What ultimately made the biggest impression on me were the people and the culture: The discussions were transparent, solution-oriented, and full of positive energy. Even though our POS project at the time did not move forward for reasons outside of Yonoton’s or my control, the company stayed firmly on my radar.
So, all-in-all the decision to join felt very natural.
2. What excites you the most about being the Product Owner at Yonoton?
I absolutely love the idea of doing work that is more than just a job. In this role at Yonoton, I believe I can combine my passion for business growth with my experience in the food industry, systems development, and digital commerce.
What especially motivates me in the Product Owner role is the ability to operate at the intersection of customer needs, business value, and technology. I see this position as a chance to contribute and to learn. The idea of taking Yonoton, its customers, and also myself to the next level is very inspiring.
3. Can you tell us a little about your career journey and what led you to this role?
My career has been a front-row seat to the evolution of digital commerce. I started in the late 90s with early internet services and eCommerce solutions, and over time my role has expanded from development leadership to broader digital and commercial ownership. I have worked extensively with online sales, self-service, and agile development at scale. More recently, in the café franchise world, my focus has been on modernizing the end-to-end digital ecosystem in a high-volume retail environment.
What has consistently motivated me is turning tech into real business value and better everyday experiences for customers. The Product Owner role at Yonoton feels like a very natural next step on that path.

4. What strengths and experiences do you bring to Yonoton?
I bring in a very practical understanding of how POS and digital commerce platforms create value every day in real business environments. Having worked both on the vendor side and as a buying customer, I’m used to balancing client needs, business priorities, and technical realities.
I enjoy close cooperation with clients and always look for win–win solutions that create long-term value for both parties.
5. On a more personal note, what do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Football is definitely close to my heart. I actively follow both junior and senior football, especially the teams my sons play in. I used to coach junior football and do various volunteer roles, but these days I’m quite happy to enjoy the games from the sidelines.
Music has also been a long-time passion of mine. With a background as a semi- professional musician, I still like to pick up the guitar or bass whenever there’s a moment.
I also enjoy brisk walks and gym sessions. And perhaps most importantly, I love spending time with my five-year-old, diving into whatever exciting things the world happens to offer through their eyes that day.
6. Extra question: What’s your secret super power that not even your mom knows?
Moms usually know everything! But I suspect even mine may have missed my rather useless talent: Tibetan throat singing aka multiphonic singing.
